The Friends of Church Farmhouse Museum


The Friends were formed in 1993 as a self-financing group to support the restoration and development of Church Farmhouse Museum. They play a valuable role in promoting the museum, its exhibitions and collections throughout the Borough, and welcome your support.Over the last few years, the Friends paid for the Floodlights at the front of the house and bought a Victorian barometer for the hall.

In 2006 Friends paid for new polycarbonate panels for wall exhibits & repaired the oak sign above the front door. Friends also paid for the Historic Plaque for Mark Lemon.

In 2007 a replacement thermometer for the barometer in the dining room was paid for out of the Friends’ funds.

In 2008 Friends paid for the upholstery of the Showwood chair in the kitchen

In 2003 the Friends purchased a digital camera for Gerrard Roots, the Curator so he could take photographs of the exhibitions and objects in the museum to show to the schools he visits.

In 2004 the Friends funded new curtains for the shop.

Membership

Annual subscription and currently costs £9 for individual members and £12 for joint membership at the same address.
