Past Exhibitions
The museum presents four temporary exhibitions each year, ( One of these – generally running over the Christmas holidays – is aimed particularly at children). Recent topics have included: the Festival of Britain; masks and mask making; 20th century British toys; Troika pottery from Cornwall; and weird and wonderful gadgets.

Abram Games – A private View
Abram Games, who died in 1996 was one of Britain’s notable graphic artists of the 20th Century. As official 2nd World War poster artist, he created many of the most famous images of the period. Games is now especially remembered for his ‘Britannia’ emblem for the Festival of Britain in 1951.
Spike Milligan – An exhibition of bits, or a bit of an exhibition
Spike needs little introduction as possibly the most influential British comedian of the past 50 years.
